Center's Description
The Houston Zen Community is a lay Buddhist sangha supporting each other in practice. We provide a resource to the community for the study and practice of Socially Engaged Buddhism.

We would love to have you visit and sit with us. We sit every Sunday from 6 to 8 pm. The two-hour period usually comprises of two twenty-minute zazen periods, with a 10-minute walking meditation in-between. Then a brief tea break is followed by a book discussion, tea ceremony, dharma talk, recitation of precepts or some other spiritual practice.
